REHAU to Participate in “Radiant House” Initiative at ISH NA 2006
LEESBURG, Va., September 28, 2006 – REHAU announced today its participation in the Radiant Panel Association’s “Radiant House” initiative at ISH NA 2006, September 28-30 at McCormick Place in Chicago. REHAU’s RAUPANEL™ system will be installed in the floor and wall areas of the house during live demonstrations on the ISH NA show floor.
“The Radiant House initiative provides a valuable opportunity for us to educate the market on the numerous benefits of radiant heating, including superior comfort and cost savings of up to 30 percent” said Bill Johansen, heating and plumbing business unit manager at REHAU. “In addition, the live demonstrations offer a unique ability to show RAUPANEL’s attributes as a lightweight, easy-to-install option for a variety of radiant heating applications.”
REHAU representatives are scheduled to demonstrate RAUPANEL installation at the Radiant House, between rows 10 and 11 at Booth No. 1151, on September 28, 2006 from 3:30 – 4:30.

RAUPANEL™ System: REHAU’s RAUPANEL™ system is a lightweight and easy-to-install radiant heating system, which is ideal for new construction or retrofit applications. The system is composed of RAUPEX® cross-linked polyethylene (PEXa) pipe, aluminum panels and wood return bends.
Snow and Ice Melt System:REHAU’s innovative hydronic snow and ice melt (SIM) system is designed to quickly and efficiently melt snow and ice from vehicle or pedestrian pathways. SIM systems minimize snow removal and accompanying costs, as well as the need to apply salt or other melting agents that can be corrosive to many surfaces.
PRO-BALANCE® Manifold: REHAU’s PRO-BALANCE® brass balancing manifolds come complete with gauges for use in hydronic radiant heating and snow and ice melt (SIM) systems. PRO-BALANCE is installation-ready and has a slim 3¼-inch deep profile. They can also carry up to 2 GPM per circuit, with a maximum flow of 20 GPM for the entire manifold.
