REHAU EDGESM Professional Contractor Development Program Launches at 2008 AHR Expo

REHAU EDGESM Professional Contractor Development Program Launches at 2008 AHR Expo
LEESBURG, Va., Jan. 22, 2008 – REHAU announced today its launch of a new professional contractor development program for the North American market at the 2008 AHR Expo in New York. The unique program, REHAU EDGE, is carefully structured to encourage all aspects of contractor growth through training, design services, company branding and local, regional, and national events.

“The REHAU EDGE program emphasizes a strong team philosophy, recognizing the importance of meaningful relationship-building between channel partners and those behind the products and systems they are purchasing,” said Michael Dietrich, heating business team manager at REHAU. “The program is designed to deliver a high level of value to members, with a host of materials and training and networking opportunities to help build business and elevate technical know-how. It additionally incorporates REHAU’s best-in-class commitment to product and system support—from design and specification through post-installation.”

In addition, REHAU will display the following products and systems at AHR Expo booth No. 2106:

Radiant Heating System
Providing one of today’s most comfortable and efficient types of heat, REHAU’s radiant heating system circulates heated water through RAUPEX cross-linked polyethylene (PEXa) pipe installed beneath a floor’s surface. It additionally includes the EVERLOC fitting system and pre-assembled PRO-BALANCE manifolds. The system’s consistent operating temperature range (90° to 140°F or 32° to 60°C) is also ideally compatible with alternative energy sources such as geothermal heat exchange.

Snow & Ice Melt System
REHAU’s innovative hydronic snow and ice melt (SIM) system is designed to quickly and efficiently remove snow and ice from vehicle or pedestrian pathways. SIM systems minimize snow removal and accompanying costs, as well as the need to apply salt or other melting agents that can be corrosive to many surfaces. Installed underneath or within an outdoor ground surface, the system includes RAUPEX pipe, the EVERLOC fitting system and PRO-BALANCE manifolds.

RAUPANELTM Radiant Heating System
REHAU’s RAUPANEL system is a lightweight and easy-to-install dry panel radiant heating system ideal for both new construction and retrofit applications. The system is composed of 3/8-inch RAUPEX pipe, aluminum panels and wood return bends, with a low 5/8-inch profile that minimally impacts overall floor height. It can greatly reduce job site preparation and installation time, as it requires no added structural support or concrete overpour.

INSULPEX Energy Transfer Pipe
Engineered for the efficient transfer of hot or chilled water, INSULPEX consists of pre-insulated RAUPEX pipe for a flexible, lighter alternative to rigid piping systems. The pipe is offered in a selection of 16 ASTM-compliant diameters that meet North American standards. In addition, a range of more than 50 EVERLOC fitting sizes complete the updated program.
