STORMCHASERTM Sideload Window Designs Pack a Punch
LEESBURG, Va. — REHAU announced today the availability of its STORMCHASERTM hurricane impact product line, ideally suited for coastal applications.
The STORMCHASER product line has successfully completed the rigorous testing requirements of the Miami-Dade County Large Missile Impact Protocol, the most stringent standard for impact products. With this rating, the STORMCHASER meets or exceeds the requirements for both the Florida Building Code and the Texas Department of Insurance.
Both single-hung and picture window designs are available in two versions - an integral J-channel for new construction and a box frame for replacement applications. This fully welded PVC system features a side-load sash that is easy to manufacture. Since there are only four main PVC profiles, it also lowers inventory costs.
“The side-load design offers enhanced structural characteristics, coupled with a simple design making the new STORMCHASER truly unique in the market,” said Brian Guyer, business team manager for REHAU’s window and door group. “In addition, REHAU is committed to providing total solutions. That’s why we offer fabricators on-site technical support to help reduce per-unit costs, Guyer added.”
