We are constantly expanding our know-how in the sealing domain. We place particular emphasis on the ongoing development of our material expertise, design skills, and functional integration.
The following topics are particularly worth highlighting.
TPE Compound with Optimized Resilience
Resilience describes the ability of a compound to return to its original shape and dimensions after a deforming force is removed. This is a decisive factor in ensuring seal functionality. REHAU is setting new standards in this respect. The result of our carefully targeted materials development process, which is clearly oriented toward specific functions and applications, is a thermoplastic elastomer with improved resilience, which sets a benchmark for conventional TPE compounds.
Decorative Finishes
REHAU offers a wide range of decorative finishes in the surface design process. A variety of film solutions can be used to achieve metallic effects and/or effects that match the vehicle's color. Alternative solutions involve applying aluminum or stainless steel or painting the surfaces.
3D-Stretch Bending Technology
Manufacturing high-precision bend contours requires highly accurate production of radii and curve characteristics. REHAU uses a 3D stretch bending technology that enables the required degree of high-precision contour fitting. This also enables us to satisfy demanding requirements relating to gap measurements and curvature.
